Coaching

As well as providing Mechanic Services to Professional Bike teams, we have significant experience in Triathlon and Swim Coaching.

Dave is a qualified Club Coach in swimming and a Level 2 Triathlon Coach.

Prior to becoming involved in Mechanics Dave was the Head Coach at Bridgend County Swim Squad and worked with the Welsh National Swim Squad under the Performance Director Bryn Williams and Head Coach Gary Rosser.

Dave was approached by Welsh Triathlon to run the National Youth Program and did so for an number of years before taking up the post of Head of Performance working closely with Head Coach Chris Jones.

Dave also was selected by British Triathlon to organize and manage their national youth camps, at which athletes of the caliber of current Olympic champion Alistair Brownlee and Ironman Athlete Phil Graves were present.

In 2013 Dave returned to coaching and coached Magnus Backstedt. In their First Year together Magnus in his 2nd Ironman Qualified for the 2014 Ironman World Championships in Hawaii.

For 2015 Dave will again be coaching Magnus in his first year as a Pro Triathlete.
